REAL & NATURAL SOUND

Producing sounds of unprecedented naturalness and realism

FROM MONO, STEREO & SURROUND TO REAL IMMERSIVE SOUND

Monophonic sound (one sound), using one channel, was a revolution in the 1870s. Human voice could be recorded and reproduced for the first time.

Stereophonic sound (full sound) was invented in the 1930s being widely used from the 1960s using two audio channels and making it possible to reproduce sound giving an almost 3-dimentional sound experience as in natural hearing.

But stereo sound, and surround sound, has its limitations – it needs two or more speakers, listener must be in a specific area and cannot move around freely, and the speakers and listening space must be calibrated to prevent an alien sound experience.

And about 80% do in fact not even listen to stereo set-ups! They listen to music via smaller Bluetooth speakers with a mono setup.

We sent the first man on the moon in 1969 listening to stereo sound. Surround sound has emerged as a version of stereo but with the same constraints as a stereo setup.

It is time to upgrade the sound experience with acoustic sound quality to everyone in one speaker with multi channels.

Imerz® sound is the new normal after mono, stereo and surround.

The invention is innovative and could change the sound image in the loudspeaker industry.

Muri, CEO at Openhagen

With more than 40 years experience as musician, composer and lecturer at major international universities, founder Lars Graugaard experienced the limitations with stereo and pursued the idea of finding a better alternative.

In 2021, he filed patent for his unique algorithm - Imerz®.

Lars Graugaard has a background as MA in flute performance from The Royal Danish Academy for Music. He is a versatile musician and composer with roots in both classical and improvised music.

Lars began his career with an interest in various musical genres and collaborations with experienced improvisational musicians.

BEHIND THE IDEA

Later, he experimented with computer-based composition and real-time music.

In the 90s, Lars developed his own compositional technique called "intuitive construction," and experimented with information technology.

He gradually used the laptop computer as an instrument for real-time performance of electronic music.
